About the Scholarship

The Courage Scholarship was launched in 2020 to support the development of professionals working in situations of violence, conflict, and trauma.

The purpose of this scholarship is to generate and publish qualitative research on Positive Psychology & Post Traumatic Growth (e.g. interventions, theoretical models) to inform client engagement.

To date, the scholarship has welcomed 6 scholars onto the programme. Two of these scholars have since completed and presented research-informed approaches to forgiveness following intimate partner violence, and flourishing beyond domestic violence and abuse.

The scholarship has been funded by the Positive Psychology Guild and private donations.
